RtI Exposed: Examining the Unique Issues of High School Implementation

This insightful one-day workshop will provide an overview of the philisophical, theoretical and legal foundations of the Response to Intervention (RtI) initiative. Teachers will discover how to navigate the unique issues regarding implementation of the three-tiered model at the secondary school level. Participants will gain insight into:

  • Problem-solving methods
  • Standard protocol
  • Assessment
  • Eligibility for special education using RtI

The presenter will detail application of these concepts using real-world examples and presonal experience, as well as provide useful and cost-effective recommendations for interventions. LePenseurThe Network Room facilitates workshop for transitional home case managers
 
The Network Room's Executive Director, Dr. Maureen White, leads case and house managers from LePenseur Youth & Family Services  in a brainstorming session at a Core Competencies Workshop. Co-facilitator, Sabrina Peden, LCSW, helped the case managers with team building, developing and sustaining client relationships and implementation of new policies.  The agency is one of the largest providers of transitional housing for pregnant teens and teen mothers in the State of Illinois.
